Course Overview

CompTIA CySA+ is the intermediate analyst certification that bridges Security+ and the advanced practitioner credentials. Where Security+ asks whether you know the controls, CySA+ asks whether you can use them - reading telemetry, triaging alerts, and driving an incident to closure.

The course covers vulnerability management, threat intelligence, security monitoring and log analysis, incident response process, and reporting and communication with stakeholders.

CySA+ maps to multiple DoD 8140 work roles including CSSP Analyst and Cyber Defense Incident Responder, making it a common requirement for SOC positions on federal contracts.
