Course Overview
Certified Information Systems Security Professional is administered by ISC2 and is the most widely recognised senior credential in information security. It is deliberately broad, covering eight domains from governance and risk through to software development security, and it tests managerial judgement as much as technical knowledge.
The course works through all eight Common Body of Knowledge domains, with emphasis on the risk-based reasoning the exam rewards. CISSP questions rarely have a single obviously correct answer - they test whether you can identify the best answer from a management perspective.
CISSP requires five years of cumulative paid work experience in two or more domains. Candidates without that experience can pass the exam and hold Associate of ISC2 status while accruing it.
