Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: August 16, 2026 | Last Updated: August 16, 2026
Our Commitment to Accessibility
DoD Training Center San Diego is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We train service members, veterans, and civilians — including students with service-connected disabilities — and we believe everyone deserves equal access to information and functionality. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone by applying the relevant accessibility standards to www.dodtcsd.com (the "Site").
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We also work to support the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as they apply to digital content.
We regularly review the Site and work toward full conformance. Some content may not yet fully meet every success criterion; where gaps exist, we are actively working to resolve them.
We give particular attention to the accessibility of our course registration forms, shopping cart, checkout, and account pages, consistent with WCAG 2.2 AA and applicable state public-accommodation laws (including California's Unruh Civil Rights Act), since these are the pages where a barrier most directly prevents you from enrolling or completing a purchase.
Measures We Take
- Designing and developing with accessibility best practices and semantic HTML;
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content such as images;
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast and legible, resizable text;
- Ensuring the Site can be navigated using a keyboard and assistive technologies;
- Using clear, consistent navigation, headings, and link text;
- Labeling form fields and providing accessible error messages;
- Designing responsive layouts that adapt to different devices and zoom levels;
- Reviewing accessibility as part of our ongoing site maintenance.
Classroom & Facility Accommodations
Accessibility does not stop at the website. If you need an accommodation to participate in a class at our 9089 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, Ste. 110, San Diego, CA 92123 location — including accessible seating, materials in an alternative format, assistive listening, extended break scheduling, or a support person — contact us before your course start date and we will work with you to arrange it. Requests for exam-day accommodations at our testing center are handled by the certifying body; we will help you start that process.
Compatibility With Browsers & Assistive Technology
The Site is designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers and commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech-recognition software.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may exist. For example, third-party content, embedded maps, video, calendar or registration widgets, and social-media widgets may not always be fully accessible because they are controlled by external providers. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so we can assist you and prioritize a fix.
We Want Your Feedback
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of the Site, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. We welcome your feedback and will make reasonable efforts to provide the information, item, or transaction you seek through an accessible communication method or alternative means.
