Santee, El Cajon and the East County Corridor

Santee sits in zip code 92071 with El Cajon (92019, 92020, 92021) directly south and Lakeside to the east, all inside the valley system that runs out toward the Cuyamacas. Gillespie Field anchors the area’s aviation and industrial employment, Cuyamaca College sits on the eastern edge of El Cajon, and Mission Trails Regional Park separates the whole corridor from the city.

What to Expect During the Week

Hours are 08:00 to 16:00, Monday through Friday, at 9089 Clairemont Mesa Blvd in Kearny Mesa. Monday is a diagnostic so the instructor knows the room. Tuesday through Thursday are lecture, hands-on lab work and exam-style question drills. Friday is review, a full practice exam and a direct read on whether to sit that day.

How long is the drive from Santee or El Cajon to your classroom?

About 15 miles and roughly 20 minutes west on SR-52 from Santee, a little more from El Cajon by way of SR-125 or I-8. SR-52 stays clearer than I-8 during the morning commute, which is why we point East County students at it.

I am a veteran with technical experience but no certifications. Where do I start?

Is Linux+ actually worth taking?
