Funding Your Cybersecurity Certification
Your Training Budget Can Cover Your Certification
We are a cybersecurity certification and training company built for military members, DoD employees and government contractors. We are dual-homed in Virginia and San Diego, with a mobile training team that can deliver a class at almost any location.
Because members of the Cyber Security Workforce are required to hold these certifications, most commands pay for them out of the training budget. Pick the funding path that fits you below, and if you're requesting command funding, download the SF-182 now so it is ready to route with your quote.

Trusted by DoD Commands
Over the past year we've hosted training for several DoD commands, including NCTAMSPAC, COMSUBPAC, COMTHIRDFLEET, NCDOC and NCDOC WEST.
DoD 8140
Courses map to the DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce qualification requirements for your work role.
SECNAV M-5239.2
Satisfies the Department of the Navy Cyber IT and Cybersecurity Workforce qualification manual.
CMMC
Supports contractor teams working toward Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification requirements.
Choose Your Funding Path
Four ways to pay for certification training. Most commands use option one. Military spouses can also use MyCAA, up to $4,000.
Command & Organization Funding
For active duty, DoD civilians and contractors whose unit or employer pays. Route our quote with an SF-182 through your chain of command, and your GCPC holder handles payment.
Navy COOL
Sailors can request credentialing funding through Navy Credentialing Opportunities On-Line. Check your rating's eligible certifications and submit the request through Navy COOL.
Air Force COOL
Airmen and Guardians can apply for credentialing funding through AF COOL on the Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC).
VA Education Benefits
Veterans, service members and eligible dependents using VA education benefits apply through the INX Academy VA application. Admissions reviews the file and confirms eligibility.
How Command Funding Works
Four steps from request to class. You handle the approval; we handle the training.
Tell Us Your Training Requirements
Which certifications, how many students (6 to 30 per class), your preferred dates, and whether you want us at your facility or at an off-installation site we arrange.
We Send You a Quote
You get a written quote for the course or courses you requested. It carries the course data and costs your SF-182 needs.
Route the Quote and SF-182 Through Your CoC
Attach the quote to a completed SF-182 and route it through your chain of command. Larger classes are sometimes funded by requesting more budget from upper echelons.
Your GCPC Holder Contacts Us
Once funding is approved, your Government Commercial Purchase Card holder contacts us for payment. We handle the rest.
Download the SF-182
The SF-182 (Authorization, Agreement and Certification of Training) is the form your command uses to approve and pay for outside training.
- Section A: the trainee fills in their own information.
- Sections B and C: copy the course and cost details from our quote.
- Sections D and E: supervisor, training officer and approving official sign as it routes through your CoC.
Classes Built Around Your Unit
We can host as few as 6 students and up to 30 students per class. Once we know your training requirements, we'll send a quote for the course or courses you need.
We'll train at your facility, or we'll get a location off installation for the class. With locations in Virginia and San Diego and a mobile training team, just tell us your requirements during planning. Individual students can also join a scheduled class on the San Diego class calendar.

Funding Questions
Who pays for cybersecurity certification training?
Most often the command or organization, out of its training budget, because members of the Cyber Security Workforce are required to hold these certifications. Some commands ask their upper echelons for more funding to host larger classes. Sailors can also use Navy COOL, Airmen and Guardians can use AF COOL, and veterans can apply to use VA education benefits through INX Academy. Military spouses can apply MyCAA funding, up to $4,000, toward an IT or cybersecurity certification.
What is an SF-182 and who fills it out?
The SF-182 is the Authorization, Agreement and Certification of Training form.
